Female Coaches Wendron Workshop

Cornwall FA run women’s community coaching networking event at Wendron United AFC

New and existing volunteer coaches took part in a female coaching community networking workshop.

This week, Cornwall FA welcomed new and existing volunteer coaches to Wendron to take part in a female community coaching networking workshop.

As part of Cornwall FA’s Coach Development Programme, the Female Coaching Community Workshops aim to support female coaches that are taking their first steps into coaching.

Led by Vicky Fisher, FA Regional Coach Development Officer Women and Girls (South West), the workshop at Wendron provided the opportunity for volunteer coaches to discuss their coaching experiences as well as gain new insights and ideas to apply at their grassroots clubs. Additionally, those that are not currently coaching with the opportunity to network with other local coaches.

Cornwall FA Womens, Girls and Disability Officer Andrew Heapy supported the evening and added, “it was great to see the engagement from the attendees on the night. To have several people attend who are not currently coaching and are now looking to get involved with coaching at their local clubs is brilliant and an example of the power of these networking evenings”.

Cornwall FA would also like to thank Wendron United AFC for their hospitality and allowing the event to take place.
