The Cornwall FA has in place a benevolent fund which is used to offer financial support for players who have suffered serious injuries and face time off work.

Every season at affiliation time clubs pay into the benevolent fund as well as Cornwall FA also make contributions to it throughout the year.

If you have suffered an injury and are facing a time off work and/or loss of earnings you are entitled to claim from the fund. We appreciate that all players in Cornwall play for the love of the game and as a hobby and therefore should the unfortunate situation of a serious injury arise we want to support you.

If you contact Cornwall FA we will send a member of our Benevolent fund committee to meet with you and assess your situation. Their assessment will be passed to the rest of the committee who will then make a decision on the financial award you will receive, once agreed the money will then be paid directly to you. It is a very simple process and one which we encourage any inured players to take up.
