Women's football in cornwall

Whether at a local club, in a social small sided league or a kick around with your friends, there's likely to be an opportunity for you to get involved in female football across Cornwall. Cornwall County FA help organise, develop and support a wide range of opportunities for females age 16 + to participate within football and provide support to clubs, players, coaches and volunteers through:

Club Football

There are a number of women’s clubs in Cornwall providing football for players aged 16+. The entry level for adult teams is through the Pirate FM Womens Football League going up to the South West Womens League Western and Premier Divisions.

Women’s football is currently played on a Sunday afternoon and many teams have weekly training sessions taking place midweek.

SSE Women's fa cup 2018-19

Clubs can now apply to enter The SSE Women’s FA Cup for season 2018-2019.

To apply, please use the direct link below to submit your application and payment online.

The application is ONLY available for online completion and online payment by credit or debit card, and an individual can make the payment with a personal card on the Clubs behalf.

On successful completion of the online application and online payment, you will receive an on screen confirmation and an automatic email confirmation will be sent to the participant from The FA. However, this does NOT constitute acceptance into the Competition.

The closing date is Sunday 1 July 2018.

A list of entries accepted will be available on www.TheFA.com towards the end of July 2018.

FAQs

To play womens football you must be aged 16 and over, there is no upper limit on how old you can be.
