Cornwall FA are delighted to share that Mari Ward is continuing to showcase her talent after scoring for England Lionesses over in Portugal. 

After attending an England Lionesses U16 training camp last year, Mari has now travelled abroad with the England Lionesses to represent the U16s squad in Portugal. The trip involves the England Lionesses playing against Portugal and Germany U16s. 

Mari has grasped the opportunity setting up the 1st and scoring the 3rd goal in England’s 4-1 victory over Portugal in an impressive debut appearance. The full match against Portugal can be viewed below and Mari’s goal features at 38:50 minutes.

Mari has attended the Cornwall Girls Advanced Coaching Centre for several years and is currently receiving 1 to 1 coaching at the centre to complement her current football offering.
