Coach Development Event delivered in East Cornwall
On Tuesday 6th December, Cornwall FA were delighted to welcome FA Regional Coach Developers Vicky Fisher and Abdoullah Kheir who delivered a coach development event in Bude.
The event focused on the benefits of small sided games, with Vicky and Abdoullah showcasing game-based ideas around how to develop skilful players through the use of small sided games. The grassroots coaches in attendance were able to observe a coaching session delivered by the FA Regional Coach Developers followed by an interactive discussion, helping to provide new ideas to take back to their grassroots clubs.
Daniel Greenough Football Development Manager said, “It was great to be able to deliver this coach development event in the East of the county and we were pleased to see local coaches engaging with the event. We look forward to continuing to roll out future events across the county to help bring coach development to as many coaches as possible over the 2022/2023 season”.
Cornwall FA would like to thank Bude Youth FC for basing the event with their youth club players, providing an opportunity to bring coach development to local grassroots clubs and coaches in the East of the county.
