Coach Development Events
Bringing coach development to you and your club
Following a return from the COVID-19 pandemic last season, the 2022/23 season will provide further opportunities for local grassroots coaches to access high quality coach development events to provide the opportunity to network with other coaches and gain new ideas to take back to their club environments.
With the view of making the coach development programme accessible to as many local coaches as possible, the programme will aim to provide events in the East, Centre and West of the county with the intention of bringing coach development to you and your club. The majority of the events will be club-based events and therefore delivered in partnership with a local football club, using their club players. The coach development events will also cover different topics and welcome special guests from the FA, utilising their vastly experienced Regional Coach Developers as well as working in partnership with Plymouth Argyle Football Club and their experienced Academy coaches.
A bespoke series of female community coaching workshops will also follow later in the year which will aim to support females who are already or are thinking about coaching football within the county. If you would like to register your interest in the female specific coaching events, please contact chloe.harris@cornwallfa.com
If your club is interested in the possibility of hosting one of Cornwall FA’s coach development events, please register your interest here.
The Cornwall FA Coach Development Programme Calendar (up until January 2023) can be seen below, with further events being released in the new year.

Absolutely. The FA runs events all over the country and for all levels. To explore events please visit our national CPD events page here.
If you and your club would like to host an In-Service/ CPD Event this season please email us on the details above.
If you're an FA Level 1 or 2 learner, continuous professional development hours are optional and so there is no longer a requirement for licensing .
If you're a UEFA qualified coach, however, you are required to complete 15 hours of CPD every three years to maintain your licence, which The FA recommends is best achieved by completing 5 hours per season
