Futsal Referee Workshop a Success

10 REFEREES ATTEND FUTSAL REFEREE WORKSHOP

Cornwall FA held a futsal referee training course at Newquay Tretherras School on Wednesday 27 November, with 10 match officials from around the county attending to find out more about futsal refereeing.
FutsalFutsal is a fast-paced, five-a-side game normally played on a flat indoor pitch with hockey-sized goals and a size 4 ball with reduced bounce. The format continues to rise in popularity and many of the skills involved can easily be translated into the 11-a-side game.

As Cornwall FA aims to increase futsal opportunities and access throughout the county, we are keen to educate and up-skill our refereeing workforce to help ensure games are overseen by a qualified match official.

This training course at Newquay Tretherras School provided a great opportunity to do that, with plenty of match officials enjoying the theory and practical sessions delivered.

Our thanks go to everyone who attended, and to Newquay Tretherras for use of their facility.
