Coaches
WELCOME TO THE COACHING AREA OF THE CORNWALL FA WEBSITE
Here you'll find all of the information around the coaching courses we deliver.
One of the biggest influences in any player's career is their coach. Coaching is an opportunity to inspire a new generation of players, giving them the skills they need to go on and play the beautiful game for many years.
To give their players the best opportunity to develop, achieve their maximum potential and importantly, enjoy the game, coaches must be aware of the latest techniques and philosophies involved in coaching the game.
Here in Cornwall we are committed to offering a large variety of inclusive and supportive coaching courses along every step of the coaching pathway. We offer courses that support brand new volunteers right up to coaches who have been working in the game for a long time and are looking for a challenge.
Development and Courses
Following the FA Education restructure and the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic, opportunities have started to become available again to support grassroots volunteers across the country. The most recent coach education update provides the latest news on the changes to coach education, in particular the new online courses that are now available and replacing previous face to face delivery as well as plans for the coach education CPD offering next season.
One noticeable change to be aware of is that The FA centrally are now responsible for administrating and managing coach education courses with Cornwall FA taking on responsibility for supporting the workforce via a range of events throughout the year.
Please see the Coach, Volunteer and Referee Qualification Guidance document highlighting what qualifications are needed for different roles within Football.
There are also other online e-learning opportunities available to you if you visit The FA’s Boot Room all of which will help you as you continue your learning journey.
