Cornwall FA x Vincents

Vincent Tractors host information evening at Fraddon depot

Our partners invited in local clubs to learn all about machinery and maintenance.

Cornwall FA was delighted to welcome local Clubs to Fraddon as we visited the depot of our machinery partners, Vincent Tractors and Plant.

Vincent Tractors opened their doors to grassroots volunteers to show them the wide range of machinery available, all in the presence of experts who could answer any questions they might have.

The evening focused primarily on equipment maintenance, helping Clubs to keep their machinery in good condition to help extend the lifespan of their kit. Volunteers were given a tour of facilities with representatives from Vincent Tractors showing the attendees some of the compact tractors that are on offer to them and explaining how they work. Trimax did the same and showed the attendees some of their different mowers and how to maintain them.

They then answered any questions and took the time to speak to the grassroots volunteers about their individual needs and any further questions.

Cornwall FA also delivered a brief talk around how Clubs can access funding and sign up to PitchPower if they haven’t already.

Football Development Officer Will Snapes: “The open evening was a brilliant event that was really well hosted by Vincent Tractors, with 18 of our Grassroots football community in attendance. I think that the demonstrations and information that was passed on was helpful for clubs looking to improve their grass pitches. We hope that clubs will be encouraged to apply for funding and complete the required reports in order to fund and help with the machinery they’re looking for.”

Cornwall FA would like to thank Vincent Tractors & Plant for their hospitality as well as the representatives from Trimax for giving up their time. We hope the volunteers found the evening to be informative and useful for their ongoing pitch improvement efforts.
