On Saturday 22nd July 2023, #LetGirlsPlay Big Football Day will be landing, and this is your official invite to be a part of it.
Celebrate England kicking off their Women’s World Cup campaign by getting involved with your local Big Football Day event. On the 22nd of July, we are asking clubs to open their doors and use England kicking off
their World Cup campaign as a moment to engage their local community, whether
that’s getting involved in a taster session, watching the match or soaking up
the festival vibes with food, drink, music and games.

Need inspiration?
Host a Women's World Cup watch party - England will face Haiti at 10:30 BST. Gather round the screen, cheer on our Lionesses and soak up the atmosphere at your local Big Football Day event!
Take part in a taster session - there are six different participation taster session themes to choose from. Whether you’re wanting to give it a go for the first time or play regularly, there is something for everyone.
Get involved in the festival vibes - it’s not just the football you’ll want get involved in. From food and drink to keep you energised, bringing the party feels with some music to face painting and games (not just for the kids!).
Stepping Over the Sidelines weekend
It's not all about the World Cup - we also have an exciting opportunity to get involved in Stepping over the Sidelines on 19th August.
A female only workshop, this is designed to offer mums, female guardians, helpers, assistants, and young leaders the opportunity to have a first look into volunteering or coaching. We will break down some of the barriers preventing you from volunteering. Click here for more information.
