Stepping over the sidelines

Stepping Over The Sidelines to be delivered on August 19th

This session is perfect for female volunteers looking to take their first steps in grassroots football.

Are there women or girls at your club who want to lend a hand but don't know where to start? Cornwall FA will be delivering a workshop to help give them the skills and confidence they need to start volunteering in grassroots football.

Stepping Over The Sidelines is an introductory workshop for women and girls of all ages and backgrounds who would like to get in volunteering or coaching football. Cornwall FA is pleased to announce that it will be delivering this workshop again this August.

The session aims to break down some of the barriers stopping women from getting involved in the game. We will look at skills and attributes that individuals may already hold which can be transferable to football. It is also hoped that the workshop will inspire females by highlighting other positive role models who are influencing change within the game.

Finally, the workshop gives a flavour of the prospective next steps, including the EE Playmaker by England Football and the Introduction to Coaching Football course. It is the perfect opportunity for clubs to engage their parents, players and increase their female volunteer base.
