Cornwall Girls' ETC face Charlestown Boys in triple-header

The Cornwall Girls’ Emerging Talent Centre last week partook in three fixtures against Charlestown Boys.

The matches were a good chance for girls in the U12, U14 and U16 age groups to taste competitive action together as a team and to test themselves against lads of a similar age. Games took place at Newquay Tretherras and Brannel School

Chloe Harris, Cornwall FA’s new Football Development Officer for female football, organised the fixtures. “It was a fantastic opportunity for both the grassroots team and the girls at the ETC,” said Chloe. “All three games were fantastic to watch, the enthusiastic coaches really helped to bring the fixtures together. These three games under the floodlights will be used to build and develop. The future of female football in Cornwall looks very bright.”

Cornwall FA would like to thank Charlestown Youth for three exciting matches, and in particular the coaches Mark, Steve and Chris for helping to get the games on. If you have a team who would like to face the girls from the Cornwall Girls’ ETC then please get in touch with Chloe for more information: chloe.harris@cornwallfa.com
