Independent Disciplinary Panel Results - 6th April 2023

Listed below are the results of an Independent Disciplinary Panel, convened on 6th April 2023.

In all cases The Independent Panel followed The FA Disciplinary Sanction Guidelines for the respective offences, all decisions are subject to the right of appeal in line with FA Regulations.

All cases are dealt with on an individual basis and the panel will always consider mitigating and aggravating factors when deciding what sanctions to apply. Mitigating factors may include but are not limited to, previous good disciplinary record, submission of a guilty plea, an apology or plea for mitigation submitted as part of the hearing. Aggravating factors may include, but are not limited to, previous poor disciplinary record, holding a role that should be setting an example (manager, club official).

Case 1

Match - Mawnan Reserves v Storm FC – 25/02/2023 – Trelawny Football League

Participant Charged – Peter Cockerell of Mawnan Reserves

Peter Cockrell is charged for an alleged Breach of FA Rule E3.1 - Improper Conduct (including violent conduct and/or threatening and/or abusive language/behaviour). It is alleged that Peter Cockrell used violent conduct and/or threatening and/or abusive and/or indecent and/or insulting language/behaviour contrary to FA Rule E3.1 - This offence was in respect of an opposition player and not a match official

Sanction – Suspension – 8 Matches, Fine - £100

 

Case 2

Match – Bodmin Town v St Dennis – 04/03/23 – South West Peninsula League

Participant Charged – Dane Bunney of Bodmin Town

Dane Bunney is Charged for an alleged breach of FA Rule E3 - Improper Conduct against a Match Official - (including abusive language/behaviour) It is alleged that Dane Bunney used abusive language and or behaviour contrary to FA Rule E3.1

Sanction – Suspension – 2 Matches (Ground Ban),  Fine - £35

 

Case 3

Looe Town 2nd vs Foxhole Stars 2nd – 11/02/2023

Participant Charged – Foxhole Stars

Foxhole Stars were Charged for an alleged breach of FA Rule E20 - Failed to ensure directors, players, officials, employees, servants, representatives, conduct themselves in an orderly fashion whilst attending any Match.

Sanction – Foxhole Stars fined £70.

 

Case 4

St Just 1st vs St Agnes – 18/02/2023

Participant Charged – Christopher Curnow of St Just

Christopher Curnow was charged for an alleged Breach of FA Rule E3.1 - Improper Conduct against a Match Official - (including abusive language/behaviour)

Sanction – Suspension – 2 Matches, Fine - £30

 

Case 5

Newquay Royal British Legion 1st vs FX Union Sunday 1st – 12/03/2023

Participant Charged – Dan Bird Of Newquay Royal British Legion

Dan Bird was charged for an alleged breach of FA Rule E3 - Improper Conduct against a Match Official - (including abusive language/behaviour).

Sanction – Suspension – 2 Matches, Fine - £35

 

Case 6

Penzance U16 Rockets vs Mousehole U16 Predators – 12/02/2023

Marcus Smith – Manager of Mousehole U16

Marcus Smith was Charged for an alleged breach of FA Rule E3.1 - Improper Conduct - (not including abusive language/behaviour).

Sanction – Suspension – 2 Matches (Ground Ban) , Fine - £35
