The FA have recently introduced Community Champions with the role is to support and mentor grassroots coaches, with a particular focus on the women and girl’s game. 

This bespoke support aims to help improve the coach’s skills and therefore the playing experience of players at their local clubs. 

Cornwall FA Womens, Girls and Disability Officer Andrew Heapy said, “It’s great to have Mike and Josh available to support local grassroots coaches across the county through their FA Community Champion roles. Following the Womens Euros there has been a great interest in the female game, with more volunteers stepping forwards to start coaching, a process in which Josh and Mike can support with to help maximise their personal development as a coach”.
