Flexi-League returns 22-23

The Callywith Flexi-League Returns for the 22-23 season

This year’s Callywith Flexi-League has now restarted seeing Looe Town, Lanivet, Polzeath, St Neot, and Bodmin Town all playing their 1st game of the season.

The nature of the Flexi-League offers a non-traditional approach to the beautiful games with teams playing bi-weekly fixtures on high quality, floodlight 3G pitches such as Callywith College. The Flexi-League aims to provide opportunities for individuals to develop their football skills, increase fitness levels and enjoy football in a fun and friendly environment.

Cornwall FA Football Development Officer George Roberts attended the opening fixtures and said, “it was great to welcome the teams back to the Callywith Flexi-League for the new season.

The first few games have been great with the flexible format providing opportunities for a range of players to continue playing football around their work/life commitments.

Although we have had to unfortunately reduce the capacity of the league this year due to facility availability, it is really positive to see teams using the league to help develop their younger players with the view of supporting the transition to adult football. We hope in the coming seasons we can grow the league and introduce more teams so if you are interested please get in touch and we can add your team to our waiting list”.
