Cornwall FA are excited to share the details of the upcoming Wildcats festival which will also include a U8 and U10s Girls Football Tournament.

Hosted at Newquay Tretherras 3G on the 3rd July, the festival will provide an opportunity for all the Cornish Weetabix Wildcats providers to come together to allow their participants take part in some fun football activities and small-sided games. Following this, the afternoon will see Cornish Girls U8 and U10 teams take part in a tournament to provide further playing opportunities.

Andrew Heapy (Cornwall FA Women, Girls and Disability Officer) said, “We are really excited to provide an additional playing opportunity for girls in Cornwall through this upcoming festival. 

Wildcats is a fantastic programme aimed at introducing girls to football therefore to have the opportunity to bring the Wildcats providers and players together for an event like this is really exciting. 

With the Womens Euros fast approaching, we hope this event will help further the interest in girls football within the County and inspire young girls to continue playing football.
