St Agnes AFC Dis-ability awarded Parasport club of the year 2021

The club have been recognised and celebrated for their disability provision.

Cornwall FA would like to congratulate St Agnes AFC as they are awarded Parasport Club of the Year 2021 after previously being recognised as club of the month back in July 2021.

St Agnes AFC Dis-ability have already been recognised for their disability provision with volunteers at the club (including Grassroots Award winners Hailey Collins and Tom Stephens) supporting the players through an extremely challenging lockdown period with fitness challenges and handmade cards and letters to stay connected with the players.

Following this recognition in July, they have now been awarded Parasport Club of the Year 2021 highlighting the positive impact their provision had upon their players during the national lockdowns.

St Agnes AFC Chair Mandy Kimmins said, “As coaches, we are extremely proud of all the players both within our disability section and the rest of our club.

We are super excited to be recognised by this national award and it’s testament to the contribution that is put in every week by all our volunteers”.

Cornwall FA Womens, Girls and Disability Officer Andrew Heapy added, "it's brilliant to see St Agnes' disability provision being recognised nationally for a second time. The support and opportunities our disability clubs provide players across the county is so valuable and examples such as this highlight how clubs and their volunteers continue to go above and beyond to support their players".
