Plymouth Argyle Academy to host open goalkeeping trials
Plymouth Argyle Academy is holding open trials throughout Devon and Cornwall for talented young goalkeepers.
The Greens’ youth set-up is on the lookout for the South West’s best fledgling shot-stoppers, with the ultimate aim to help the next generation to follow in the footsteps of Argyle no.1, and young player of the season, Mike Cooper.
It is an exciting time to be joining the Academy at Argyle, with the Pilgrims’ youth set-up, overseen by Director of Football Neil Dewsnip, placed at the centre of the club’s long-term aim of becoming a sustainable Championship-level club.
The trials, led by Academy goalkeeping coach, former Arsenal and Argyle goalkeeper Rhys Wilmot, occur across Devon and Cornwall throughout May. For a full list of dates and locations, see below:
