Cornwall FA and Plymouth Argyle FC to Provide Challenges For Players Over Lockdown
Cornwall FA are delighted to be working in partnership with Plymouth Argyle FC to provide players across Cornwall with weekly challenges that they can complete at home during the national lockdown. The weekly challenges will run over 6 weeks and will include a technical challenge each week and an accompanying physical challenge every other week. The first challenges are going live today, with the following weekly challenges being released every Monday via Cornwall FA’s YouTube channel and social media accounts.
“Daniel Greenough (Cornwall FA Senior Football Development Officer) expressed, “It is great to continue to build strong relationships with partners that can support and help develop football in Cornwall and this partnership will help do this. In addition, these challenges also directly link to our recent CPD event on Staying Connected with your Players which will only help football to be in the best place for when we can return to normal activity”.
Phil Stokes (Plymouth Argyle Academy Manager) said “Plymouth Argyle are delighted to support Cornwall FA with this exciting initiative that will help players across Cornwall during the national lockdown. We have been able to share some of our weekly challenges that relate to our 8 core techniques within Plymouth Argyle’s Academy syllabus – this will allow players the opportunity to practice at home and continue to develop their skills over the next 6 weeks.
