Girls Football Returns to Action

Smiles, enjoyment and skills as girls return to matches across the county.

Sunday 25th April was the return of a 'revamped Champions League style' girls County Cup Competition as well as a girls football cluster event hosted by Cornwall Girls Football League. With opportunities for U9s and U11s to get together in a fun, friendly, development ethos atmosphere at central venues there were smiles all around.

Two events took place, East and West. The East event involved four U11s teams coming together to play at Callywith College. The West event was kindly hosted and coordinated by Mandy Kimmins at St. Agnes FC and featured four U9 teams and 6 U11 teams for an action packed morning of football. For some players this was their first ever game of football and it was a great environment for them to experience it in.

A big well done to all of the players who took part in these events and a huge thank you to the coaches and volunteers involved in providing opportunities for the girls.
