Safer Internet Day - Together For a Better Internet

SAFER INTERNET DAY 2020 WILL BE CELEBRATED GLOBALLY WITH THE THEME, ‘TOGETHER FOR A BETTER INTERNET’

Safer Internet Day (Tuesday 11 February 2020) aims to inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.
Coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre, the celebration sees hundreds of organisations get involved to help promote the safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology for children and young people.

It calls upon young people, parents, carers, teachers, social workers, law enforcement, companies, policymakers, and wider, to join together in helping to create a better internet.

In 2019, the initiative reached 46% of young people aged 8-17 and 26% of parents. Now we are all being invited to join Safer Internet Day supporters across the globe, to help create a better internet on Tuesday 11 February 2020 and throughout the whole year.

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT THE DAY:

Register as a supporter - Join over 2000 organisations across the UK who deliver activities for Safer Internet Day each year, from tech companies, banks and football clubs, to schools, police services and charities across the UK!

Spread the word – Leagues and clubs are invited to use the Safer Internet Centre’s images, logos and sample tweet to help get as many people involved as possible. Remember to use the hashtag #SaferInternetDay and tag in @UK_SIC
