Record number of teams attend Cornwall FA Youth Festival
On Saturday 18th May we hosted our 3rd Annual Mini-Soccer Festival at Treviglas School in Newquay. It was our biggest tournament so far with a fantastic 39 teams across the 4 age groups entering meaning more than 400 players were involved on the day!
The tournament is run each year to give players, coaches, managers, parents and spectators a chance to come together and celebrate another season of youth football in Cornwall. With no scores recorded and games being played purely on a basis of fun and enjoyment this takes the pressure of the players so they can relax and enjoy playing football with their friends.
We were also pleased to present each player with a participation medal at the end of the day for their efforts and wonderful attitudes when playing. Thank you to all of the teams for coming along, we hope you enjoy taking part in more tournaments in the coming weeks and are looking forward to next season.
Also a big thank you to all of the volunteers on the day from the CCFA Youth Council, to our team of referees and to all of the staff that made it a great day for so many young players from Cornwall and beyond.
