positive changes For County FA Staff roles
Instigated by a request from Phil Cardew to reduce his working hours after being at Cornwall FA for over 20 years, this gave the company an opportunity to re-align officer roles to ensure that we provide the best support to our grassroots community going forwards.
Phil Cardew working three days a week predominantly Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will manage the Football Development Officer Role covering Adult Participation with Junior FDO Joshua Stockdale’s role changing to Football Development Officer covering Youth Male Participation. Whilst these roles are now split both Josh and Phil will continue to cover and support each other through this period of transition. A re-alignment of the Youth County Development Cups has also taken place as they will move under the Governance team and Caroline King for the 2019-20 season.
Charter Standard Support to clubs will be looked after by the following staff;
Adult - Phil Cardew
Youth - Joshua Stockdale
Annual Health Checks- Corinne Winkworth and Caroline King
Senior Football Development Officer, Daniel Greenough had this to say about the recent changes “It’s great to see Phil staying at Cornwall FA with such experience in the game, especially the adult game, where he will now focus his efforts. Josh has been excellent since joining the team in 2018 and brings a fresh approach to football development and I am sure he will do an outstanding job to ensure our youth football provision across Cornwall continues to develop.”
As a County FA this has been a fantastic opportunity to make some changes internally which will have a positive impact going forwards.
