Cornwall FA is delighted to enter an official partnership with Danish tech company Veo Technologies, who have invented a camera that records football matches using artificial intelligence.
Cornwall FA has been looking for ideas to advance football within the county using new technology, and this high-tech camera is an exciting fit.
Veo is a portable and affordable solution that helps football teams record and analyse matches and training sessions without the need for a cameraman, producing high-quality footage perfect for tactical analysis and individual development.
Two AI cameras have been provided to Cornwall FA, which will be offered out for free usage to teams who achieve greatness in fair play, community projects and fundraising. Specifically, the cameras will be circulating ‘on the road’ throughout the year to give players the chance to watch themselves play and coaches the chance to analyse and improve their players.
Daniel Greenough, Senior Football Development Officer at Cornwall FA, said: “Cornwall FA is always looking for new and innovative ways to work and develop. These new cameras can add to what we aim to achieve as a County FA whilst also providing an excellent opportunity for our football family.
“Ultimately, the goal for this partnership is for more local players to hone their skills with the most high-tech hardware and software available on the market. Hopefully, this will help players and coaches develop throughout the season, and enable more young talent to be scouted though video material.”
Women, Girls and Disability Football Development Officer, Vicky Fisher, added: “I’m very impressed by Veo’s camera system. We used the cameras for the first time to film our U12 and U14s Advanced Coaching Centre fixtures against Devon FA to allow the coaches to analyse the game and help with individual player development.”
