Football Development Officer

Salary: £21-23,000 negotiable dependent on experience

This post is a fixed term contract until 30 June 2019 with a view to it being extended subject to relevant FA funding.

Cornwall FA is seeking to recruit a Football Development Officer to support all areas of the game but offering specific support to positively impact participation throughout the female game and disability football in the county.

The successful applicant will:

  • Support delivery of The FA National Game Strategy in partnership with key stakeholders.

  • Strategically coordinate all womens and girls football provision locally, ensuring provision is aligned and positively impacts the priority areas, thereby sustaining and increasing participation levels.
  • Strategically coordinate all disability football provision locally, ensuring provision is aligned and positively impacts the priority areas, thereby sustaining and increasing participation levels.
  •  

  • Enhance a number of Cornwall FA's major priorities which include player development, raising standards and running the game.

The successful applicant will need to be suitably qualified and experienced, be passionate about and committed to the development of football at a local level; be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. They will need to demonstrate exceptional customer service, be able to work as part of a team with excellent planning, communication and presentation skills.

The post is full-time and is based at Cornwall FA’s Headquarters in Bodmin but with an expectation of working countywide. For full role profile, see attached.
