FA Unite The Game Workshops huge success

Cornwall FA were delighted to welcome FA National Respect Manager Nathan French and FA Club Operations Manager Tom Lee to The County last week to deliver The Unite the Game Workshops.

Held at St Mawgan and Helston Football clubs on consecutive evenings the workshops were a chance for local clubs to hear from Nathan and Tom on The FA’s plans for Respect and The Charter Standard Programme over the coming seasons. The volunteers who attended had an opportunity to ask questions and offer ideas on how they saw Respect and Charter Standard as well.

There were lots of interactive sessions on the evening, with Nathan and Tom keen to gain insight into what our volunteers saw as a positive match day environment and how they ensure that every player not only enjoys playing the game but also learns and feels positive about football.

All the people who attended across the two nights really got involved and what struck Nathan and Tom was the great work already taking place in Cornwall, the challenge now is to make it even better.

The whole experience was extremely positive and I would encourage any County to take the opportunity to invite Nathan and Tom down to see them as one club volunteer noted “their passion and enthusiasm is infectious”.
