Cornwall FA seeking Independent Non-Executive Director

The Cornwall Football Association is seeking to appoint a new Independent Non-Executive Director to join its current Board of Directors.

The Board which currently meets monthly is responsible for directing the business affairs of the Association and can have a maximum of 8 members elected from the Cornwall FA Council plus two Independent Non-Executive members and the Chief Executive.

Travelling expenses of the person appointed will be re-imbursed in line with current mileage rates for members of the County FA Council. (Currently 32p per mile)

It is anticipated that the person appointed will have experience in business and an interest in football.  Whilst not imperative legal experience has been recognised as a key skill that would complement the skill set of current Board members and enhance our well balanced Board to enable us to continue to take the Association forward with confidence.

The appointment, as with elected Board Members, will be for a 3 year period but this may be extended with the approval of Council. Board meetings currently take place monthly on weekday afternoons (usually 4pm) but the timing could be moved to evenings to accommodate any person appointed who could only make meetings outside of the normal working day.

If you are interested in this unique opportunity to be involved in ensuring that our business continues to provide for the needs of the game in Cornwall please forward an expression of interest in the format of a CV stating your experience in business and football.
