Vicky Fisher new W & G Officer

New Development Officer joins Cornwall FA

We are delighted to introduce our new Football Development Officer, Vicky Fisher, who will primarily be working on Womens, Girls and Disability Football. Vicky is the fourth new member of staff to join the team in the last 12 months and we are thrilled to have her on board. In her new role Vicky will be looking to support major priorities which include female player development, raising standards and running the game and also strategically coordinating all disability football provision locally along with many other key areas.

Vicky has a huge amount of experience in football particularly in the female and disability game. She recently spent 5 years in Dubai, initially travelling over as a football coach to work full time with boy’s teams. During her time there her role progressed and eventually was appointed Director of Football for the company she worked for, a huge achievement in a short space of time. Vicky moved back to Cornwall 2 years ago and since being back lives and breathes football, from working at the Girls ACC as U14’s Head Coach to co-managing Charlestown Ladies in the South West Womens League Premier Division.

In addition she has spent a lot of time working with the FA, as well as being appointed an FA Mentor in Cornwall she has delivered at the national Wildcats Training Days at St George’s Park and is a qualified FA Active Literacy tutor. In her spare time Vicky is also completing a Masters in Sports Directorship with Manchester Metropolitan University through a ‘Women in Sport’ Scholarship she was awarded for the continuing hard work and desire to improve that she has and continues to show.

 Here's what Vicky had to say about her role new here at Cornwall FA;

 “I’m excited to build on the great work already taking place in the County every week. I’m passionate and enthusiastic about developing our game and ensuring we provide opportunities for all. I can’t wait to see our game continue to grow and develop and am looking forward to getting started“

We look forward to supporting Vicky in her new role and the exciting times ahead for Womens, Girls and Disability football in Cornwall!
