BT Playmaker, By England Football

BT Playmaker by England Football is our new, free online entry-level football course perfect for anyone interested in taking a more active role in grassroots football.  

There are five modules in total and you don’t need any previous football experience or qualifications before signing up.

The course will also include The FA “Safeguarding for All”, “Sudden Cardiac Arrest” and “The FA’s Concussion Guidelines” and is a prerequisite for the Introduction to Coaching Football.

Introduction to Coaching Football – (Replacing the FA Level 1 Coaching Course)

Officially launched on the 16th June 2021, Introduction to Coaching Football is the perfect online football coaching course for anyone looking to take a more active role in the game.

 

The course blends live weekly webinars, e-learning, community support and a range of resources to provide you with the skills to coach players of all ages.   

 

Please Note: You will not be able to take Introduction to Coaching Football if you have not completed The BT Playmaker By England Football course. You can sign-up to become an FA Playmaker for free here.

uEFA C

Due to be released in 2022

UEFA C (Replacing the FA Level 2)

Launching this year, the UEFA C qualification will replace the former FA Level 2 coaching course. The UEFA C Licence is a qualification designed for coaches who are looking to develop their skills in helping players improve and fall in love with the game through practice and competition.   

Delivered through a blend of virtual and face-to-face learning, our expert Coach Developers will guide you through the course, supporting you as you tailor it to your players. The course will provide you with practical resources and signpost you to future learning to help you continue to develop as a coach.
 
The course will last for approximately 16-20 weeks, supporting the principles of spaced learning and giving you the opportunity to reflect and practice what you’ve learnt in real-time. 

Although the launch date is yet to be confirmed by the FA, you can now register your expression of interest to take the course when officially launching later this year.

UEFA B

The FA Level 3 (UEFA B) in Coaching Football will help you develop your players by designing practices that encourage decision-making, while meeting their technical, tactical, physical, psychological and social needs.

The delivery of the UEFA B Coaching qualification is currently on pause as a result of the FA Coach Education restructure and COVID-19 Pandemic. This is provisionally due to be reintroduced this year and we are awaiting information regarding what the roll out of this course looks like across the country.  

Although the launch date is yet to be confirmed by the FA, you can now register your expression of interest to take the course when it does relaunch.

As soon as further information is available on the launch of the new UEFA B course, we will distribute this information via our social media and website. In the meantime, coaches waiting to do the course can further their knowledge through the numerous learning opportunities and resources on the FA Boot Room.

FA Level 1 in Coaching Goalkeepers

This course provides you with an introduction to the organisation and delivery of safe, fun and engaging coaching practices which when coupled together, create a coaching session for goalkeepers.

You will gain an insight into the game in England, how it is played and how you can coach to better support the development of future goalkeepers. The course is designed to prepare you to coach goalkeepers at the grassroots level.

FA Level 1 in Coaching Futsal

Learn about the UEFA and FIFA approved small-sided game. On this course you will be introduced to a number of practices from which the basic technical demands of Futsal can be developed.

The FA Level 1 in Coaching Futsal is a vocational course that provides you with an opportunity to develop an awareness of both the practical and theoretical aspects of Futsal coaching.

You will gain an insight into the game in England, how it is played and how you can coach to better support the development of future players.
