FEEDBACK FROM LEARNERS ON RECENT LEVEL 1 COURSEs. . .

"I just wanted to say how much we all enjoyed the course, if I am being honest I know a lot of the guys including myself wasn't really looking forward to it and thought it was a waste of time however, Chris made all the sessions really fun and I know that a lot of us are already seeing a massive improvement in our training sessions and the kids are really enjoying them to. Just wanted to say thank you for arranging the course and thank you to Chris!"

"I've just got home from finishing my L1 coaching course and I just wanted to make it known to you guys how fantastic Chris has been throughout the duration of the course. He has always been punctual, attentive and really has motivated me to try and be the best coach I can be; not only with technical side of the game but with my own confidence.

The course has really helped me develop as a young coach with young players and for me Chris has really instilled the FA's DNA and ethos which will make me strive to be the most professional coach I can be.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this course to any one young or old who is passionate for the game because i really believe that this course will allow you to access a whole new love and passion for the game.

I look forward to continuing this season, and now I am looking at my L2 already!!"

I just wanted to give a bit of feedback about the course. Like a lot of us, I fell into coaching without really knowing what I was letting myself in for! Always loved football, played as a kid, never really remember being coached and as a result I was basing my practices on guesswork and things I remembered from years ago.

This course has given me a complete structure to work to, one that makes sense and has really made me think about what kind of coach I want to be. I had never really thought about the possibility that my team could have an overtly inclusive ethos, or more importantly, the harm I could be doing if I base selection on ability. My kids will directly benefit from me having been on this course and or two might be saved from my well intended but flawed approach until now!

Chris is an excellent coach and strikes the right balance between support and challenge and the sessions themselves were a lot more enjoyable than I expected...it’s been good to see ‘what good looks like’ even if I never quite reach that level as a part timer!

FAQs
If you are completely new to coaching you will need to complete The FA Level 1 in Coaching Football first.

If you already hold an existing FA Level 1 you can go to the new FA Level 2 in Coaching Football qualification taking into consideration the action plan you received from your course tutor.
Yes, we have produced a recognition of prior learning document that outlines how the changes impact all current and prospective coaches. If you have any questions about this document we've also produced the following FAQ guide.

The FA Youth Award Modules previously received a high level of positive feedback from learners, yet take-up rates were usually lower than the core coaching qualifications.

Therefore, in order to raise the standards of coaching, the principles of The FA Youth Award Modules have been incorporated into the core coaching qualifications to ensure all coaches have access to these principles and understand how to apply them to the environment in which they coach.
