FA Peoples Cup Finals

Cornwall team through to national finals of the FA People's Cup....

The FA People's Cup is a nationwide 5-a-side competition run in partnership with BBC Get inspired and last Year there were over 4,000 teams in the competition.

Troon AFC Pumas have faced and beaten some tough opponents to win their place in the FA People's Cup National Finals in Birmingham on 1st May 2017.

This is an amazing achievement by the dis-Ability Championship team and they are the first ever Cornish team to progress this far. Steve Borlase of the Cornwall dis-Ability League said “At first the team experienced a real culture shock after seeing how quick the other teams were but they quickly adjusted and Troon beat a team from Torquay and it was a tremendous experience for them.   They are a great inspiration to all players with a range of disability who just love to play football and we wish them all the best in Birmingham and we are really proud of their achievement.”

Thank you to RG Kellow Ltd a leading independent Construction and Maintenance Contractor in Cornwall who have very kindly sponsored Troon AFC Pumas and have provided them with a new football kit, fantastic support for this team.

Cornwall FA would like to wish Troon AFC Pumas all the best in their final this weekend.
