South West Counties Under 18 Youth Championship (Group 'B')

On Saturday 23rd November 2013, Cornwall FA played Gloucestershire FA at Camelford, Trefew Park.
Cornwall Youth  (0) 0   Gloucestershire Youth  (2) 3.

Cornwall Youth went down to three goal defeat at Camelford's Trefew Park on Saturday. In benign conditions the visitors took full advantage of the few chances that came their way. Cornwall despite having the majority of possession came up against a well marshalled defence supported by some excellent goalkeeping from Will Carter (Hartbury College). Opportunist goals from Harry Jenkins (Hartbury College) after 15 minutes and Dan Stevens (Mangotsfield United) on 25 minutes gave their side a two goal advantage at half time.

The second period saw Cornwall once again on the offensive but could not achieve that important breakthrough. The game became a scrappy affair with the visitors content to hold on to their two goal advantage. In stoppage time Gloucestershire increased their lead when Ben Reed (Forest Green Rovers) side footed following a goal-mouth scramble. Which sealed a rather flattering margin of victory.
