Our Grassroots Heroes Recognised

Eight Local grassroots heroes from across Cornwall FA have been named as county winners of the 2013 FA Community Awards by The FA and its Community Partner, McDonald’s.

Cornwall  FA has been calling on people from across the county to nominate their unsung hero for one of the eight award categories so that they can be recognised for their commitment and achievements throughout the last year. The eight, who have been recognised for their commitment to grassroots football, were selected as winners by a panel of local county FA and McDonald’s representatives following a seven week public nomination period.

The eight winners will now be shortlisted for the 2013 Regional FA Community Awards, where they will be judged alongside other county winners to represent the Cornwall FA in the National Awards shortlist.

We are delighted that The FA and McDonald’s have provided us with the opportunity to recognise them through The FA Community Awards and we wish them all the best at regional and hopefully national stages of the Awards.”
