Katie Robinson

Katie Robinson named in England World Cup squad

Congratulations, Katie!

Cornish native Katie Robinson has been named in Sarina Wiegman’s 23-player England squad for the upcoming World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Katie grew up playing her football in Newquay and her progression through the female pathway and into the professional game is a testament to her hard work, as well as a fantastic example to our local youngsters of what can be achieved. After racking up four goals and six assists for Brighton in the WSL this season, Katie will head Down Under looking to win more silverware with the Lionesses. She previously featured in the Women’s Finalissima triumph in April after lifting the Arnold Clark Cup in February.

Cornwall FA would like to congratulate Katie on a truly unbelievable achievement. We wish her and the Lionesses the very best of luck at the World Cup this summer!

If Katie has inspired you to get involved in women’s or girls' football, please contact chloe.harris@cornwallfa.com to learn more about all the opportunities that are available to you!
