Newquay offers new opportunity to play Disability Football

Cornwall FA is pleased to announce the creation of a new Pan-Disability Football Hub.

Cornwall FA is pleased to announce the creation of a new Pan-Disability Football Hub offering casual football in Newquay.

Sessions will take place every Tuesday in the sports hall at Newquay Tretherras, starting on April 4th. The aim of the Pan-Disability Hub is to be as open and inclusive as possible, so sessions will be open to people with a wide range of disabilities and impairments. Among those who can come along and join in are players with learning disabilities, cerebal palsy and/or hearing impairments – among plenty of others.

Chloe Harris, Football Development Officer for Women’s, Girls’ and Disability Football for Cornwall FA, played a key role in the creation of the hub and will continue to work for increased opportunities for disabled players in the county. “The new Disability Hub is a really exciting opportunity to give people with a disability a chance to play football,” said Chloe.

“This hub will be the first in our county and we will look to build off of this and increase the amount of Disability Rec Hubs in Cornwall. The hub is a just for fun session, so turn up and play! Looking forward to seeing you there!”
