David Toseland and Colin Bate awarded for 50 years of service

Cornwall FA would like to thank and congratulate David Toseland and Colin Bate on their tremendous commitment and contribution to Cornish football.

Cornwall FA were delighted to visit Mawnan AFC to present David Toseland and Colin Bate with the FA 50 Years Long Service Award.

Cornwall FA Board Member Steve Carpenter presented David and Colin with their FA 50 Years Long Service Awards in front of club members, family and friends.

David joined Mawnan AFC in 1971, amounting almost 3 decades worth of playing experience for the club including featuring for the club’s veteran’s side. He has since managed the club’s reserve team and is now involved at the club in a volunteering capacity behind the scenes.

Colin’s football journey started with Wadebridge Town FC, aged 14 where he progressed to the club's first team whilst still a teenager. Colin has also played for Cornwall Youth Teams and Penryn AFC. Joining Mawnan AFC in 1986, Colin was the Club’s Vice Chairman for 12 years before transitioning to Club Chairman for a further 8 years.

Cornwall FA would like to congratulate and thank both David and Clive for their contribution to Cornish Football.
