Paul-Murphy

Valued Member of Staff Due to Retire

PAUL MURPHY, CORNWALL FA’S REFEREE APPOINTMENTS OFFICER, WILL OFFICIALLY RETIRE ON 30TH JUNE 2020

Paul has worked tirelessly supporting clubs, leagues and referees for a number of years and has developed close professional relationships with most.
Definitely recognised as one of the most unenviable roles in grassroots football in the county, Paul has been an amazing ambassador for Cornwall FA and remains hugely supportive of everything in relation to the support of referees and he will hopefully continue working with Cornwall FA in a more focussed referee support capacity in the future.

The referee appointing structure at national FA level is changing and this will affect appointing at a local level for the new season. When this picture becomes clearer, we will be in a better position to discuss the future demands of the role with our local grassroots leagues before recruiting to replace this important Referee Appointments Officer role.

We wish Paul our very best wishes for when he officially retires in June.
