Applications Open for the 2020 Wildcats Programme

cornwall FA IS INVITING LOCAL CLUBS AND ORGANISATIONS TO APPLY TO BECOME WILDCATS CENTREs

The application window for clubs and organisations to register as a Wildcats Girls’ Football Centre is now officially open.

The Wildcats Girls’ Football programme continues to be the best environment for girls aged 5-11 to give football a try.

Research has shown that girls aged 5-11 want to play in a fun, social, safe, girls-only environment where they can learn new skills, make friends and have fun.

This is exactly what the Wildcats Girls’ Football programme offers. Wildcats is aimed to support beginners, aged 5-11, into football by offering regular recreational opportunities to play and take part in fun, engaging activities created just for girls.

If you’ve thought about delivering football activity for girls aged 5-11 years, the Wildcats programme can provide you with full support, training, funding and opportunities to do this.

Why become a Wildcats Girls' Football Centre?

Wildcats provides organisations with the correct support to start girls’ football at a younger age group, providing specific training to centre staff, on-going mentor support, branded equipment and funding to get you started. What do you get?

£900 (across two years)
Centre training for staff
Delivery support
National promotion through Search Engine
Access to HIVE Learning

AND MORE

Following expert training, all centres approved for 2020 will start in April. Sessions should take place on a weekly basis, either after school or at weekends, subject to the local organiser. They should provide a safe environment where girls with no football experience can; have fun engaging with sport, develop fundamental skills, try a variety of sessions, learn new things and create foundations for a lifelong love of sport.

You must be able to deliver the programme for a minimum of two seasons, and have a fully FA qualified coach to lead the sessions.
