Trials open for talented female players in Cornwall

The Cornwall Girls ACC (Advanced Coaching Centre) will once again be part of the South West talent pathway for the 2019/20 season along with the other five Counties- Devon, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Dorset and Wiltshire. This will be our fifth season as an FA Girls' ACC, this is a programme which is designed to support the development of elite female players through high quality coaching sessions and support from the FA Senior Talent Technical Coach. 

 

Some key information about our ACC:

 

- Age groups are U12, U14 and U16

- Programme is 29 weeks long (August-May)

- 6 Fixtures, pre-arranged against all other SW Counties and handpicked local grassroots mixed teams.

- Specific Goalkeeping Coach to work with players each week

- Support from Sports Therapist

 

The trials will take place over two phases; Phase 1 will be open trials with nominations accepted from club coaches and schools, Phase 2 will be invite only with current ACC players and successful Phase 1 players taking part. The dates for the trials are;

 

Phase 1: Saturday 13th July 2019

U12s: 10.00am - 11.30am

U14s & U16s: 12.30pm - 2.00pm

 

Phase 2: Saturday 27th July 2019

U12s: 10.00am - 11.30am

U14s & U16s: 12.30pm - 2.00pm

 


Under 10's ADC

Cornwall FA’s ADC (Advanced Development Centre) sits alongside our current girls Advanced Coaching Centre (ACC) offer of U12, U14 and U16. The aim is to give talented players exposure to high quality and structured training programme to prepare them for the ACC environment. Sessions take place one hour per week for 29 weeks per year.

The trials will take place over two phases; Phase 1 will be open trials with nominations accepted from club coaches and schools, Phase 2 will be invite only with current ADC players and successful Phase 1 players taking part. The dates for the trials are;

 

Phase 1: Saturday 13th July 2019  - 10.00am – 11.30am

Phase 2: Saturday 27th July 2019  - 10.00am – 11.30am

 

All trials will take place at Brannel School, Rectory Road, St Stephen, St Austell.

Any player wishing to attend will need a their coach/school to complete the online nomination form
