Job Opportunity Referee Development Officer

 Fixed term contract until June 30th 2021
22.5 hours per week, hours to be agreed based on full-time salary £22,000 (37.5 hours)

This post-holder will report directly to the Governance Manager and will support the implementation and delivery of the Referees section of the Cornwall FA Business Plan.  

The role encompasses the following key areas:
• Strategic planning and implementation of effective recruitment and retention strategies for referees that deliver County FA Key Performance Indicators 
• Support with the development of Referee workforce volunteers (Observers, Tutors, Mentors, Coaches) 
• Provide appropriate guidance to Referees to ensure individuals complete the necessary FA Safeguarding Children and DBS requirements 

The successful applicant will need to be passionate and committed to the development of football at a local level; be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. They will need to demonstrate exceptional customer service, be able to work as part of a team with excellent planning, communication and presentation skills.  The role will involve travelling around the County so a current driving licence is essential as is being available to work evenings and weekends. A flexible working approach is required which may mean changes to the weekly work pattern. Attending regional/national meetings as required out of county.
