TROON AFC THE LATEST BENEFICIARIES OF THE SCGS

The Cornwall FA Small Club Grant Scheme (SCGS) is continuing to benefit local clubs throughout the county, with £500 being donated to Troon AFC to help the club replace wood flooring as a temporary fix before planned major renovations.

This news follows on from St Day AFC receiving a new line marking machine from the Small Club Grant Scheme at the start of the season.

Introduced in March 2018 to support Cornwall FA affiliated clubs that are not part of the National League System (Steps 7 and above), the SCGC aids clubs with significant financial challenges. 

The ‘do it yourself’ scheme offers funds to support the general upkeep of facilities, with grants of £500 per club available to be used for painting, line marking, goal nets, general maintenance, refurbishment and much more.
