St Day Benefit from Small Club Grant Scheme

FUNDING SUCCESS FOR THE SAINTS

Local club St Day AFC is reaping the rewards of Cornwall FA’s Small Club Grant Scheme (SCGS), having been donated a new line marking machine at the start of the season.

St Day AFCThanks to Cornwall FA and Rigby Taylor, St Day AFC Chairman and Head Groundsman Dave Searle has been able to improve pitch line markings with this fantastic piece of machinery – and it was all made possible through the Small Club Grants Scheme.

The SCGS was introduced in March 2018 to support Cornwall FA affiliated clubs that are not part of the National League System (Steps 7 and above). For clubs with significant financial challenges, the scheme offers funds to support the general upkeep of facilities, with grants of £500 per club available.

The SCGS is a ‘do it yourself’ scheme and the funding can be used for painting, line marking, goal nets, general maintenance, refurbishment and much more.

The application window is currently closed, so please keep an eye on www.CornwallFA.com to find out when your club can apply next.
