Wildcats Training Event Hit With Coaches

A morning of fun, laughter, tin foil models, balloon juggling and storytelling were all on the agenda as part of this year’s FA SSE’s Wildcats training event held at Callywith College in Bodmin last Saturday. The morning was attended by Wildcats coaches and volunteers from across the county ahead of the launch of the new centres which will start running from April 2019.

Delivered by Natasha Mills (FA Coach Mentor) and Vicky Fisher (Women’s and Girls Football Development Officer) the training event covered a range of practical, interactive activities and classroom discussions to consider why our girls play and what we can do to support them to have the best possible experience.

SSE Wildcats centres are open to girls aged 5-11 and give a great introduction to football in a fun, safe and friendly environment. The number of centres has grown over the past three years from initially starting with three centres in 2017, 12 centres in 2018 to 23 centres in 2019.
