Womens squad chosen to face Leeds United on Saturday
Following two weeks of trials Cornwall FA are delighted to announce the squad that has been selected to take on Leeds United Ladies.
Game - Cornwall Women’s Representative Side v Leeds United Ladies
Date - Saturday 24th February 2018, Venue – Mousehole AFC, Kick Off – 2:15pm
Entry - £5 Adult and Free for U16 with accompanying Adult
With over 50 players attending the trials over the last few weeks it was an incredibly tough decision for the management team to narrow the squad down to 18. We are now looking forward to a competitive game against an excellent Leeds United side
The game is part of a celebration of Women’s Football hosted by Mousehole and in addition the game lots of other activities will be taking place. The Leeds United Ladies will train together with Mousehole’s successful Women’s team on Friday evening (23rd) from 7-8pm at Mounts Bay Academy.
Then on Saturday morning they will host a soccer camp for girls aged 6 to 16 from 9-10am, also at Mounts Bay – all welcome, with a chance to be a mascot for the afternoon match.
The forthcoming event was initiated jointly by Jason Blunt, Mousehole AFC’s Head of Youth and Development, who was until last June manager of Leeds United Under-23s, and locally-based David Haigh, former Managing Director of Leeds United.
