Girls County Cup Finals

The Girls County Cup Finals was the first of the finals days to take place on Sunday 7th May hosted at St Dennis AFC, on the day we held 3 finals, the U12's, U14's and U16's with KO's at 11am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm. The day started cloudy but mid way into the first fixture the sun came out and stayed for the rest of the day much to the delight of all the supporters which had come along. Our teams competing were;

Girls U12's
Bodmin Youth 6 - 2 Wadebridge Girls

Girls U14's
Saltash Youth 3 - 1 Charlestown Angels

Girls U16's
Helston Girls 0- 5 Saltash Youth *

Game abandoned due to serious injury with player, Saltash awarded win in agreement with both teams and officials.

All 3 finals were fiercely competitive with lots of great talent on show throughout the day! A big thank you to our 4 officials on the day who were fantastic, they were, Abbie Myatt, Josh Morford, Ashley Winkworth and Ray Brown.

Boys County Cup Finals

Next up was the Boys County Cup Finals taking place on Sunday 14th May at Wadebridge Town FC, the host had kindly stepped in last minute and were absolutely fantastic on the day providing a brilliant playing service and hospitality. It was another fantastic day with the weather with the sun coming out from the first game, we had 3 finals throughout the day for our U13, U14 and U15's Cups.

The teams who had made it through some though draws on the way to the final were;

Boys U13's

Bodmin Youth 0 - 1 Wadebridge Town

Boys U14's

Illogan Juniors 1- 3 Launceston Youth

Boys U15's

Charlestown Youth 2 - 1 St Day Youth

As always with our Boys Cups all 3 matches were very even with all the teams on the day wanting to come away champions, it is a brilliant showcase of some of the young players and their talent which also allowed players to shine. A big thanks to the teams, their managers and supports for a fantastic day. Another thanks to our team of 5 officials on the day who were Tom Roper, Sam Nettle, Annie Myatt, Josh Morford and Andy Jenkin, all did a solid job to manage the games in different roles.
