Pre-Season Behaviour Meetings

Managers/Referees and Club Officials Pre-season meetings to discuss behaviour and expectations for the season

Please find details below of our first Pre-Season Meeting to be held involving Managers and Referees to discuss how we can work together to improve behaviour in Cornish Football

Whilst the first meeting is aimed at Peninsula League Clubs we will also be running the same meetings with all leagues in Cornwall prior to the start of the season

These meetings were part of the recommendations of the Cornwall FA behaviour working party and at the requests of several managers across Cornwall so it is extremely important as many as possible attend their respective meetings

Pre-Season Meeting – Respect Stronger Together

Carlsberg South West Peninsula League Managers/Club Official/Captains/Referees

Thursday 4th August at Eggbuckland School

Refreshments served from 6:45pm meeting to start at 7:15pm

The Cornwall FA, Devon FA and Carlsberg South West Peninsula League will be holding a pre-season meeting and inviting managers, a club official and the captains of all sides in membership of the league, we will also be inviting all level 4 referees and senior level 5 referees.

This meeting will give all parties an opportunity to discuss how behaviour can be improved across the league and follows on from the successful workshops already carried out with a wide set of stakeholders at all levels of football.

The League, County Associations and attendees will have an opportunity to discuss how we can work better together to improve behaviour, which would save clubs time/money and create a more constructive environment for referees and a more enjoyable experience for players and spectators.

It is extremely important that every club is represented at this meeting by the manager of the team but we would equally like to invite a club official and one player from the squad, preferably the captain.

This is your opportunity to have you say and offer ideas for solutions. It is an excellent opportunity to start the season off on a positive note and set the standards for the 2016/17 season.

Please let Phil Hiscox, Richard Pallot or Jason Haywood know who will be attending on behalf of your club.

Representatives leading the meeting and discussions will be as follows

Cornwall FA – Richard Pallot (Governance Manager), Paul Murphy (Referees Appointments Officer), Glynn Hooper (U18 Representative Manager) Andrew Plenty (Respect Lead Officer)

Devon FA – Jason Haywood (Referee Development Officer and Respect Officer), Matthew Rushton (Discipline Manager)

Carlsberg South West Peninsula League – Phil Hiscox (League Secretary), Keith Mann (Match Officials Director)
