Outstanding Contribution to Grassroots Football

Mr Terry Williams, who was both a longstanding Member of the Board of Directors and Member of Council has taken the decision to step down from his involvement with Cornwall FA with immediate effect.

Mr Terry Williams

Terry has given outstanding and generous service to Cornwall FA since his election onto Council in 1973 although his true commitment and involvement with the county stems back many years prior to this.

Terry was also one of the founding Directors of Cornwall FA when it was incorporated as a Private Limited Company in July 2000 and he has remained a Member of the Board since that date.

His huge commitment to the association historically maintaining affiliation records, county cup player registrations and reinstatements cannot be overstated and his valued involvement in many committees over recent years including, discipline, rules revision and cup committee can also not be overlooked.

Chief Executive Dawn Aberdeen stated: I would like to express both my own and Cornwall FA’s sincere gratitude and thanks to Terry for his excellent contribution to the Association and to its progress and development during his outstanding term of office.
