Twitter Takeover

Today there will be an event in Barnes, South West London, commemorating the 150th anniversary of the first match under FA rules. There will be press release around this day, using it as a hook to highlight this year’s achievements. Following this, the focus will move online where The FA will use twitter and TheFA.com.

The FA is planning a grassroots ‘twitter takeover’ between 2.30pm and 6pm on December 19th. The twitter takeover will see a series of 30 minute Q & A sessions with different FA Grassroots Managers and Directors, allowing you the @FA  and @CornwallFA followers to ask questions.

At 2.30pm Dermot Collins will be answering questions about the Respect Programme, then at 3pm, Kelly Simmons, Director of National Game & Women’s football, will be answering around a range of grassroots topics. 4pm will see Nick Levett respond to youth review related questions which will lead nicely into the 4.45pm session with Les Howie, Associate Director of Grassroots Coaching. Finally at 5.30pm, Peter Kay, Senior Facilities and Investment Manager will be answering questions about facility development.

We @CornwallFA want you to ask questions by tweeting your question with the following hashtag handles, depending on the topic to @FA;

#askFA #FArespect
#askFA #FAwomens
#askFA #FAyouth
#askFA #FAcoach
#askFA #FAfacility

The answers will be sent directly to you in reply to your question, however the public will be able to follow the conversation on TheFA.com as they will be pulling through all tweets with the above hashtags onto a window on the homepage.
