Celtic Storm Looking for Volunteers

Celtic Storm is looking for volunteers to take on future roles of Coaching OR Refereeing and to support those volunteers through any necessary training and qualifications. Volunteers for either would be welcome but you may be interested in covering both roles.

Introduction

Celtic Storm is Cornwall’s Powerchair Football Club. It enables people with physical disabilities to play competitive football in national leagues, friendly competitive games and to join in fun training sessions. The sport is played indoors in powered [electric] wheelchairs.

The clubs local venue is at Truro and Penwith College Sports Hall [managed by Tempus leisure, formerly Carrick Leisure] and the team is playing in the national Premier League played over 6 weekends in Nottingham. Powerchair football is an international sport with two World Cups and two European Champions league events having taken place.

The sport is regulated by the Wheelchair Football Association [WFA] in this country and Celtic Storm is also affiliated to the Cornwall Football Association. Celtic Storm is a registered charity and is supported by a network of sports and fundraising volunteers governed by committee.
