The first Carlsberg supported awards for referees were presented this year. The awards ceremony took place at Cornwall FA's headquarters in Bodmin on Monday 22nd April 2013.

The judging panel were

Dawn Aberdeen, Chief Executive, Cornwall FA, Ian Anear, Board and Council Member, Cornwall FA, Ray Brown, Referee Development Officer, Cornwall FA, John Collings, Sports Editor, Sunday Independent and Chris Greenaway, Chairman East Cornwall Premier League and St Breward FC

National Referee Development Programme Partner Awards

Cornwall Schools Football Association – award collected by Chairman Brian Baker, Brian teaches and resides in Callington – the award was presented by
County FA Chairman, Geoff Lee, Geoff lives in Saltash is a former teacher and is a Life Member of the English Schools FA. Geoff is also the
FA Representative for Cornwall FA.


East Cornwall Youth League – award received by John Galvin, League Secretary . John works and lives in Bodmin, running a Sports Shop. The award was presented by  Dawn Aberdeen, Cornwall FA Chief Executive.


Kernow Youth League – award received by Debbie Knowles, League Secretary, who lives in Mabe and does an amazing amount of voluntary work for the league. Her award was presented by Ian Anear, Cornwall FA Board Member and Chairman of the Referees Committee – Ian resides in Devoran.

Carlsberg Referee Awards


Partner Award – Cornwall Schools FA – the second award of the evening for this organisation. Brian Baker collected the award on behalf of the  Association.


Women Referee Award – Samantha Congdon. Sam is a mechanic  and resides in Falmouth.  Dawn Aberdeen presented this award.


Young Referee Award – Ben Judd who currently works in telesales and resides in Goonhavern. John Collings presented this award.


Referee Development Setting – Gary Cornish. Gary works and resides in Wadebridge, where he manages the Shoe Boy Shop. The award was presented by Chris Greenaway. Chris, a former player and referee, is Chairman of the East Cornwall Premier League and St Breward FC. Chris recently received the FA Award for 50 Years Service to Football.

Volunteer Award – Martin Ault. Martin works as a Trainer and Educator, and his professionalism shines through in his work. He lives in Lanner and this season took charge of the Senior Cup Final and Replay). The award was presented by Ray Brown, County Referee Development Officer. Ray resides in St Blazey Gate.
 

Outstanding Contribution – Ray Brown was presented with this award by Ian Anear.
